Report of the Event:

 It was an honor for Dr.J.J.Magdum Ayurved Medical College, Jaysingpur to organize the ‘National Seminar on Ayurved Updates 2022’, Satellite Seminar Of WAC 2022  in collaboration with NASYA on 12 October 2022 at  Sahakar Maharshi Shamrao Yadravkar Natyagruha, Jaysingpur. A total of 13 colleges from the western area of Maharashtra and 3 colleges from Karnataka participated in this event. This National seminar was sponsored by six sponsors.  

About 660 people of the above colleges participated including Ayurveda students, teachers, practitioners, and other health workers.

The program started with a scientific session of Dr. Parashursam Pawar sir at 9.30 am. He delivered a lecture on ‘Guideline for preparation of entrance examination’. 

Chief guests, the President, Trustees, Dean, and Principals of invited colleges arrived at 10.30 am.

All were welcomed by a unique program of Shiv Vandana, Dhol, Lezim, and Aukshan. The inaugural ceremony started at 11.00 am with lamp lighting, Dhanvantari Pujan, and Dhanvantari Stavan.

Welcome, and felicitation of Chief Guests Dr.Govind Khati and Dr.Vyankat Dharmadhikari was done by the hands of Honourable Dr.Vijay Magdum Chairperson, Dr.J.J.Magdum Trust, and Honourable Adv. Dr. Sonale Magdum Vice chairperson, Dr.J.J.Magdum Trust.

Dean Dr. Prashant Khade and Principal Dr. Pramod Budruk welcomed and felicitated Honourable Dr.Vijay Magdum and Honourable Adv. Dr. Sonale Magdum. Welcome and felicitation of Dr.Shital Patil, Trustee Dr.J.J.Magdum Trust was done by the hands of Dr.Prashant Khade.

Welcome and congratulation of the President of NASYA Dr.Vikrant Patil and Coordinator of NASYA Maharashtra Dr.Sushant Deshamukh was done by the hands of Dr.Prashant Khade.

Dean Dr. Prasant Khade and Principal Dr. Pramod Budruk felicitated the Dean and Principals of 11 colleges.

Dr.Gramopadhye sir felicitated Guest speakers, Dr.Prashant Khade and Dr.Pramod Budruk. 

It was followed by a welcome speech from Dr. Prashant Khade, Dean of Dr.J.J.Magdum College. Dr.Vikrant Patil President of NASYA spoke about the program, NASYA and WAC. Dr.Milind Godbole Principal of Yashwant Ayurved College, Kodoli gave his best wishes for the successful accomplishment of the program.  

Honourable Adv. Dr. Sonale Magdum, Vice-chairperson, of Dr.J.J.Magdum Trust who had a presidential appearance gave her speech. She appreciated the vision of Honorable Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modiji and promised her wholehearted devotion towards AYUSH Science. It was followed by video messaging of Dr.Ashutosh Gupta who was not able to attend this program due to some unavoidable reasons. Dr.Milind Nikumbh Pro VC of MUHS, Nashik also couldn’t attend this program due to some administrative commitments. But he extended his best wishes.

Dr.Vyankat Dharmadhikari who had arrived as a representative of Dr. K. Rajeshwar Reddy enlightened the minds of young delegates in adorable Sanskrit words. He suggested working with nearby Government organizations and extended support from AYUSGH Maharashtra. Dr.Govind Khati guided on various Government support available and also spoke on the vision of the AYUSH department.  

Honourable Dr.Vijay Magdum, Chairperson, of Dr.J.J.Magdum Trust spoke about the vision and mission of Dr.J.J. Magdum Ayurved Medical College. Principal Dr.Pramod Budruk concluded the inaugural ceremony.

Dr. Anil Bansode delivered a lecture on ‘Nirvat Chikitsa – Instant Pain Management in Ayurveda’. After this lecture, all delegates enjoyed delicious lunch. Post lunch Mr.Yogesh Joshi Regional Manager of Charak Pharma presented his presentation on the contribution of Charak Pharma in Ayurveda and the drugs available to serve humanity by Charak Pharma.  It was followed by a lecture on ‘Career opportunities after B.A.M.S.’ by Dr. Rahul Suryavanshi. He broadened the horizon of Ayurveda.

The fourth session was conducted by Dr. Girish Shirke on ‘Some unique cases treated in Ayurveda. He explained the line of treatment for rare diseases and boosted the confidence of all delegates to treat such patients. Dr. Vikrant Patil delivered the next session on the Future of Ayurveda specialty practice in Thyroid disorders. It was followed by a Valedictory function by Dr. Priyanka Hanmane. Also, paper presentations were conducted on 11 October 2022. Inaugural of the Scientific session was done by Dean Dr. Prashant Khade and Prof. & HOD Dr. Gramopadhye who was chairperson of this session. Dr. Shubhangi Naykude and Dr. Priyanka Chougule were Co chairpersons of the respective sessions. A total of thirteen delegates presented their papers.
