Department of Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanta is one of the pre-clinical departments that impart knowledge in the fundamentals of Ayurveda and the Sanskrit language in the 1st professional of the B.A.M.S. course. Other than Sanskrit four subjects are taught by this department at the UG level viz. Padarthvijnan, History of Ayurveda, Ashtangahridaya Sutrasthan and Charaka Samhita. Conducting two specialty courses – Samhita and Maulik-Siddhanta and teaching research methodology at the PG level is the responsibility of this department.
